Rams Go All-In for Myles Garrett

The Los Angeles Rams have traded for two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett.

The Browns are sending their franchise cornerstone to Los Angeles in exchange for former Defensive Rookie of the Year Jared Verse, a 2027 first-round pick, and additional compensation that is still being worked out, a deal that multiple sources are already calling one of the biggest defensive trades in NFL history. To understand why the Rams made this move, you have to go back to January, when they fell one game short of the Super Bowl, losing the NFC Championship to Seattle, who went on to win it all. That loss has clearly been sitting with this organization all offseason, and Les Snead responded the only way he knows how: by going and getting the best player available, following his mantra “F— them picks.”

Earlier this offseason, the Rams already traded a first-round pick to Kansas City for cornerback Trent McDuffie and signed his former teammate, CB Jaylen Watson, in free agency. Adding Garrett on top of that signals that this is a franchise is all in. The betting markets agree. After the trade broke, the Rams moved on Kalshi from a 10% chance to 17% chance to win the Super Bowl.

What made this deal actually happen was Jared Verse. The Browns weren't moving Garrett for picks alone. They wanted a proven pass rusher who could contribute immediately as they rebuild under new head coach Todd Monken. Over two seasons with the Rams, Verse racked up 189 pressures, 130 hurries, 42 quarterback hits, 12 sacks, and five forced fumbles. He was the 19th overall pick in 2024 and already looked like a long-term cornerstone. His inclusion was the thing that got Cleveland to the table, and once he was in the deal, it got done. For the Rams, losing Verse stings. He was exactly the kind of young, affordable star teams are supposed to build around. But swapping him for the guy who just set the NFL single-season sack record with 23 just last season is hard to argue with, especially when you have a 37-year-old quarterback and a Super Bowl window that isn't getting any wider.

The finances, though, are where things get complicated. Garrett comes to Los Angeles on a four-year, $160 million extension he signed with Cleveland last offseason, one that includes $41 million guaranteed in 2027 alone. Layered on top of Stafford's deal, Davante Adams' two-year $46 million contract, and the recently added McDuffie, the Rams are now carrying one of the heaviest payrolls in the league. And that's before they even get to Puka Nacua, who is entering the final year of his rookie deal with no extension signed. Nacua has quickly become one of the best receivers in football, and the expectation around the league is that he's going to command a record-setting deal that surpasses Jaxon Smith-Njigba's extension with Seattle at four years, $168.6 million. When asked recently whether he was comfortable playing out 2026 without a new contract, Nacua kept it simple: "I haven't really thought about it. I couldn't imagine myself playing anywhere else." That's the answer of a player who wants to stay, but wanting to stay and getting paid to stay are two different things, and with Garrett's contract now on the books, the Rams are going to have to get creative to make it work.

The last time Les Snead made a move this bold, it was trading for Matthew Stafford in 2021, and that ended with a Lombardi Trophy. The Rams gave up Verse and a first-round pick, accepted a complicated cap situation, and bet everything on winning now. Given what happened last January, it's hard to blame them. Snead put the league on notice, and we will see if the “F— them picks” philosophy works again.

The Greatest Peak in NBA History

When basketball fans debate greatness, the conversation usually centers around careers. But what if we judged players by a single season? If we're looking for the greatest individual season in NBA history, my answer is simple: 2006 Dwyane Wade.

In just his third season, Wade carried a starting 5 of James Posey, Udonis Haslem, an older Shaquille O’Neal, and Jason Williams to an NBA championship, the first in franchise history. In Michael Jordan's third year, it was a first-round sweep. In LeBron James’s third year, it was a loss to the Pistons, the very team that Wade eliminated, averaging 27 Points, 5.2 Rebounds, 5.5 Assists, 3.3 STOCKS (Steals + Blocks) while shooting 63% from the field. Kobe Bryant’s third year ended in a second-round sweep.

After a dismantling of the Bulls in round one, Wade propelled the Heat to a 4-1 series win over Vince Carter, Jason Kidd, and Richard Jefferson's New Jersey Nets. Then Wade humiliated the Pistons, who were coming off back-to-back finals appearances, including one championship, and a 64-win regular season.

Then came the NBA finals. Opening up as heavy underdogs to the Dirk Nowitzki-led Mavericks, who just defeated the reigning champions, hanging a banner in Miami didn't seem too likely. Despite putting up 28 and 23, the Heat scored only 80 and 85 heading into game three, down 0-2.

It was here that Wade cemented the greatest single season of all time. Back home down 0-2, he exploded in the Wadelike fashion we know him for. Entering the fourth down 9, Wade scored 15, adding a game-winning steal as time expired to win by two in a nail-biting finish. He finished this game with 42 points, 13 rebounds, one of the greatest Finals performances the league has ever seen.

Holding the Mavericks to seven points in the fourth quarter, Game 4 ended as a blowout. In a game where Wade didn't even need to play 40 minutes, he put up 36 points and 6 rebounds on amazing efficiency.

Tied 2-2, game 5 was a must-win. Wade put up 17 points in the fourth quarter, and sent the thriller to overtime. Fouled with one second left in OT, down one, Wade exhibited the poise that your favorite player wishes he had. Making both free throws, the Heat upset in a 101-100 victory, backed by a nuclear 43-point outing from yours truly, Dwyane Wade.

Now, with a championship on the line, under all the pressure in the world, Wade secured the 5th youngest finals MVP by a player in NBA history. A 36-point, 10-rebound, 5-assist, 4-steal, and 3-block outing gave Miami the first banner in franchise history and made Wade a hero, all at the age of 24.

Although Shaquille O'Neal was still an All-Star, he averaged just 13.7 points per game in the Finals. Wade’s 33.8 PER (Player Efficiency Rating) over the NBA finals remains the highest of all time, and his 39.3 PPG over a four-game stretch remains the highest in modern-era finals history. This playoff run, and this season as a whole, can be remembered as the greatest performance by any single player in NBA history, a performance bringing home finals MVP and an NBA championship. 2026 NBA Finals Preview: Knicks vs. Spurs

For the first time in decades, the New York Knicks are back on the NBA’s biggest stage. Waiting for them are the San Antonio Spurs, a young team that just survived a brutal seven-game war with Oklahoma City.

Both teams arrived here differently. The Knicks have bulldozed through the Eastern Conference with crazy momentum. The Spurs have fought through the tough West, but now, after two completely different playoff paths, everything comes down to four wins.

The Knicks entered the season with pressure. After years of building around Jalen Brunson, New York pushed its chips in by surrounding him with a deeper, more versatile roster. Had New York fallen short earlier in the playoffs, serious questions about the future of this core may have followed.

During the regular season, the Knicks established themselves as one of the league’s toughest two-way teams. Brunson controlled the offense, Karl-Anthony Towns stretched defenses, and a wing-heavy lineup built around Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby gave New York elite defensive flexibility.

New York swept Cleveland in the Eastern Conference Finals, extending its postseason winning streak to 11 games and dominating the Cavaliers the entire series. The Knicks’ offense has become unstoppable when momentum is on their side. Multiple games during the postseason featured explosive stretches where New York turned close contests into blowouts within minutes.

Brunson has been the engine. He won Eastern Conference Finals MVP after averaging elite numbers while controlling the tempo in nearly every fourth quarter. Around him, the Knicks have received contributions from everywhere. Towns has lived up to expectations, Bridges and OG have taken on larger roles, and the rest of the team is stepping up at the right moment.

And now they are in their first NBA Finals since 1999.

The Spurs’ rise happened faster than expected.

After winning just 34 games last season, San Antonio exploded into contention behind the evolution of Victor Wembanyama. Already one of (if not) the best players in the world, Wembanyama transformed and took this team to the next level.

The Western Conference Finals against Oklahoma City felt like the moment the league officially became his. The Spurs survived a seven-game battle against the defending champion Thunder, closing the series with a 111-103 win in Game 7.

The Spurs have received major contributions from young guards, role players, and elite shooting around their star. It was Julian Champagnie’s shooting in Game 7, while De’Aaron Fox, Dylan Harper, and Stephon Castle among others have all delivered key moments throughout the postseason.

With Game 1 set for Wednesday, one question for the Spurs is how well they can recover physically and prepare for the series ahead.

The Knicks want to overwhelm opponents with physicality, pace, and offensive runs. When New York gets stops, they become extremely difficult to slow down. Their wing defenders also give them multiple options against San Antonio’s perimeter players.

The Spurs are more methodical. Everything begins with Wembanyama’s gravity. Defensively, he changes every drive near the rim. Offensively, his combination of size, mobility, and shot creation forces defenses into difficult decisions.

The biggest question may be whether New York can consistently score inside against San Antonio’s rim protection. Towns will need to stretch Wembanyama away from the basket, while Brunson must continue creating efficient offense.

**Prediction**

The Knicks enter the Finals as the hotter and more rested team, but the Spurs survived the tougher path to reach this point. New York’s offense will make life difficult for San Antonio, but Wemby may simply be the best player in the series.

If the Knicks can consistently force the ball out of his hands and control the glass, they have a real chance to bring a championship back to Madison Square Garden.

Prediction: Spurs in 7.

What The Future Holds for Lebron

For nearly two decades, LeBron James has been the face of the NBA. But now, for the first time in his career, his future feels genuinely uncertain.

At 41 years old, LeBron is still performing at an elite level, with season averages this year of 21 pts, 6 rbs, and 7 ast per game- really impressive numbers. These stats are impossible to comprehend considering the mileage on his body and the expectations placed on him since high school. Most players his age are long retired. Every #1 pick from 2004-2013 has retired. Despite this, LeBron is still expected to compete for championships. This season leading the Lakers to a first round win over the Rockets, and eventually falling to the juggernaut Thuner, questions about what comes next feel louder than ever.

In my eyes the most likely outcome is that LeBron stays in Los Angeles. His family is settled there, and the Lakers still offer the biggest spotlight in basketball. Even with big flaws on the roster, the organization should still try to build around him as long as he is willing to play. Staying with the Lakers would allow LeBron to continue chasing one final championship without completely uprooting his life late in his career.

Still, there is a growing sense that the Lakers may no longer be true contenders. The Western Conference keeps getting younger, faster, and deeper, while Los Angeles has struggled to build a team around LeBron. At some point, questions about if LA is the place to be arise.

That is where the possibility of another team becomes interesting.

The most fascinating fit may be the Golden State Warriors. Watching LeBron alongside Stephen Curry has always felt like a basketball fantasy, but the idea no longer seems that far fetched. Their Olympic chemistry reminded fans how dangerous two all-time great players could be together. Even at this stage of their careers, pairing Curry’s shooting with LeBron’s playmaking would instantly create one of the smartest offenses in NBA history.

Another possibility is a return to the Cleveland Cavaliers. A final season in Cleveland would bring LeBron’s career full circle. The Cavaliers already have a good core, and bringing back the player who delivered the city its first championship would create a very emotional stories. Cleveland is tied 2-2 in the second round against Detriot right now, and they have an actual shot at making a run. If LeBron wants one final meaningful chapter without making it feel like a retirement tour, Cleveland may make the most sense.

Then there is the surprise option: the New York Knicks or another random team. It sounds unlikely, but I wouldn’t completely rule it out.

Of course, retirement remains the possibility that nobody wants to accept.

LeBron has repeatedly said he does not want a long farewell tour. Unlike many legends before him, he may prefer to walk away quietly rather than spend an entire season celebrating the end. It would shock the sports world if LeBron suddenly announced his retirement, but at the same time, what does he really have left to prove?

He already owns the all-time scoring record. He has won championships with multiple franchises. He is on almost every all time list. He became one of the greatest athletes in sports history while also building a billion-dollar brand off the court. Most importantly, he already accomplished one of his final personal goals by sharing the NBA stage with his son, Bronny.

The safest prediction is still another season in Los Angeles. But for the first time in years, LeBron’s future does not feel planned out. It feels open. Whether he stays with the Lakers, chases one final ring elsewhere, or disappears into retirement without warning, the NBA is approaching the end of one of the greatest careers sports has ever seen.

Can the 76ers come back down 3-1?

Two nights ago, that question felt dead. Down 3-1, blown out in Game 4, and with a bad shooting night, the Philadelphia 76ers looked finished. But Game 5 flipped the tone.

Call me a delusional Philly fan, but in my eyes this series is real again. And the shift is a man by the name of Joelle Embiid.

Game 5 flipped the tone of the series. The Sixers went into Boston and won 113-97, cutting the series to 3-2.

Embiid was the story… again.

He’s a warrior. He continued to prove time and time again that when healthy, (and that’s a big when), he is one of the best in the world. His return timeline is absurd for an NBA player, especially in the playoffs. and you could see the difference. In Game 4, he was productive but clearly limited. In Game 5, he dictated the game.

When Embiid aggressive, everything opens:

Tyrese Maxey gets downhill (25 points, 10 rebounds in Game 5)

The offense runs through the post instead of isolation

Boston’s defense has to collapse instead of staying home..

The bigger story might actually be Boston. The Boston Celtics’ offense failed in game 5:

They were outscored 28-11 in the 4th quarter

Shot 3-for-22 in that quarter

Missed their final 14 shots

In my eyes one of their biggest issues is Derrick White. He’s been a major piece all year, but in this series he is 7-for-33 from three. Boston’s offense depends on spacing and secondary scoring. When White isn’t hitting, it compresses everything for Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

So… can Philly actually complete the comeback? In my eyes yes, but it’s still unlikely.

Here’s what has to happen for the 76ers:

1. **Embiid has to hold up physically**

This is the entire series. If Embiid looks like Game 5 Embiid, Philly has a real chance. If he gets injured again or slows down a bit, Boston probably closes it.

2. **Maxey has to stay aggressive**

Boston will adjust to Embiid. Maxey is the pressure release. If he keeps attacking, the Celtics can’t load up. Maxey has a tendency to disappear at times in big games but they need him to step up.

3. **Role players must hit enough shots**

Game 4 showed that Embiid alone isn’t enough. They need contributions across the board. Shoutout Grimes for a strong shooting night in game 5- they need him to step up again in the coming games.

The 76ers have never come back down 3-1 before and the Celtics have never lost a series up 3-1 before. This would be a historic comeback- but something is in the air.

Game 6 in Philadelphia is the swing game. If the Sixers win, the pressure completely flips and the Sixers walk into game 7 with huge momentum.

2026 NFL Draft - Round 1 Breakdown (With Grades)

The 2026 NFL Draft is in the books. From the Raiders' calculated move at #1 to the late-round steals, we grade every major move from a wild opening night.

The 2026 NFL Draft will be remembered as a night of calculated risks and defensive dominance. Here is our full breakdown and grading of every pick from Round 1.

**1. Raiders - Fernando Mendoza (QB, Indiana)**

**Grade: A**

This is the one pick that felt inevitable. Mendoza isn’t flashy, but everything about him is controlled… accuracy, decision-making, pocket feel. Vegas didn’t overthink it. They needed a QB, and this is the only one in the class who actually looked like a long-term answer. Now the pressure shifts to the roster around him. (It’s funny how awkward his party felt even though there was no surprise as to him going #1.)

**2. Jets - David Bailey (EDGE, Texas Tech)**

**Grade: B+**

This pick is just adding juice to an already aggressive front. The Jets didn’t need to reach for offense here, so they didn’t. Bailey fits exactly what they want to do defensively in attacking. Many were surprised that the Jets did not go with Arvell Reese here.

**3. Cardinals - Jeremiyah Love (RB, Notre Dame)**

**Grade: B+**

Don’t get me wrong, Love might be the best player in this draft. But this was not a need. Love is explosive and versatile, but taking a running back this high always raises questions. Arizona is betting on identity where they secure their run game first and figure the rest out later. Maybe they should have looked to Vegas last season to see how early RB went. Still, I have a hard time giving Love a low grade given how high his ceiling is.

**4. Titans - Carnell Tate (WR, Ohio State)**

**Grade: B+**

This pick is about helping their quarterback immediately. This pick feels a little high for me because Tate isn’t a burner, but he’s always open. Clean routes, strong hands, reliable target. This is something the Titans needed desperately all last season. Tennessee clearly wants to make life easy on their young QB, and this does that.

**5. Giants - Arvell Reese (LB, Ohio State)**

**Grade: A-**

Many were surprised that Arvell dropped this far, thinking that the Jets would take him at 5, but I just don’t see the fit. As Malik Nabers said on his stream with Micah Parsons, they have tons of depth with rushers taking Abdul Carter early last year. Reese is a hybrid weapon, but the Giants already have bodies in similar roles. It feels like they drafted a great player without a clear plan for him.

**6. Chiefs - Mansoor Delane (CB, LSU)**

**Grade: A-**

Kansas City traded up with the Browns for a reason. Delane is balanced in press, zone, and has strong instincts. He fits their system immediately. This is a quiet pick but directly replaces McDuffie who was shipped to the Rams a few months ago. The reason that I give the Chiefs an A- instead of an A is that they traded up from pick 9 when Delane seemingly would have still been available.

**7. Commanders - Sonny Styles (LB, Ohio State)**

**Grade: A**

This pick makes sense. Styles does everything from coverage to run support. Washington needed a defensive centerpiece, and they got one. Great plug-and-play pick here. Washington fans are going to love this guy. They got their Bobby Wagner replacement.

**8. Saints - Jordyn Tyson (WR, Arizona State)**

**Grade: A-**

Big body with high upside and a very real injury history. That’s the tradeoff. If he’s healthy, this gives the Saints a legit receiving duo. If not, it’s a miss. Simple as that. I like the saints around Sough.

**9. Browns - Spencer Fano (OT, Utah)**

**Grade: A-**

Versatility wins here. Tackle, guard, wherever… Cleveland just needed talent up front. This is a stabilizing pick more than a flashy one. They are trying to build up some time for their young QB Sanders to hit his weapons that they secured later in Concepcion and Denzel Boston, along with Fannin and Judkins.

**10. Giants - Francis Mauigoa (OL, Miami)**

**Grade: A**

This is a really solid pick. They needed to fix the line, and they did. Mauigoa brings power and flexibility. Way cleaner fit than their first pick.

**11. Cowboys - Caleb Downs (S, Ohio State)**

**Grade: A+**

Watching live, I was super surprised that Downs dropped out of the top 10. One of the safest players in the class. He’s smart, physical, and versatile. Not enough positive to say about this guy- absolute ball hawk.

**12. Dolphins - Kadyn Proctor (OT, Alabama)**

**Grade: B+**

This is a projection pick. Massive upside, inconsistent tape. Miami is clearly thinking long-term here. It's a rebuilding era in Miami and this guy is the start.

**13. Rams - Ty Simpson (QB, Alabama)**

**Grade: C-**

This feels like the clear miss of the first round. The plan is for Simpson to sit behind Stafford for a bit and develop to take over later. The Rams are in a win now position so I am completely confused why they did not get a win now player- especially with really impactful skill position players still on the board like Makai Lemon. McVay was visibly upset at the pick, but only time will tell if this was a complete disaster of a pick.

**14. Ravens - Olaivavega Ioane (OG, Penn State)**

**Grade: A**

Classic Ravens pick. Physical, aggressive, built for their system. Not exciting, but exactly what they needed. The Ravens had terrible guard play last season, so it makes sense that they wanted to sure it up.

**15. Buccaneers - Rueben Bain Jr. (EDGE, Miami)**

**Grade: A+**

This guy is an absolute beast. You can tell the kind of player he is going to be just by his walk down the tunnel. Already playing with a chip on his shoulder. Production and attitude are there. Arm length concerns pushed him down, but Tampa gets great value here. This could be one of the best picks of the draft.

**16. Jets - Kenyon Sadiq (TE, Oregon)**

**Grade: C+**

I get what the Jets were thinking here, Sadiq is an awesome prospect, but he just doesn’t warrant this pick. With Geno Smith as the team's starting quarterback, there is a capped ceiling for what the Jets can do this season, but Sadiq is very talented and should be a solid pick long term.

**17. Lions - Blake Miller (OT, Clemson)**

**Grade: B+**

Miller started 54 games at Clemson and has proven to be steady. Detroit values reliability up front, and that’s what this is.

**18. Vikings - Caleb Banks (DT, Florida)**

**Grade: B-**

This is a risky pick. The talent is real, but so are the injuries. Banks has hurt his foot multiple times and only played three games this season. Minnesota is betting on upside over certainty.

**19. Panthers - Monroe Freeling (OT, Georgia)**

**Grade: B+**

A huge 6’7 frame gives Freeling a high ceiling, but he is not forced into starting immediately. This is a smart long term roster move.

**20. Eagles - Makai Lemon (WR, USC)**

**Grade: A+**

This is a “how did he fall here” type of pick. Philly has been dealing with the whole AJ brown frenzy along with all of the Russini and Vrabel drama. This pick feels like the end of the AJ brown era. Lemon fits perfectly into what Philly does. Quick separation, tough over the middle. 2025 Biletnikoff Award winner, Lemon is a beast. The last time that Dallas traded down and the Eagles selected a first round WR it was in 2021 where Philly got Devonta Smith.

**21. Steelers - Max Iheanachor (OT, Arizona State)**

**Grade: B+**

The Steelers were literally on the phone with Lemon before they knew that the Eagles traded up to get him. This feels like a desperation pick but not a bad one at that. Pittsburgh needed a tackle and took a swing on upside.

**22. Chargers - Akheem Mesidor (EDGE, Miami)**

**Grade: B+**

Age is a huge factor here, with Mesidor already being 25. Chargers needed pass rush help immediately, and this gives it to them, aside from the age this is a solid pick.

**23. Cowboys - Malachi Lawrence (EDGE, UCF)**

**Grade: A-**

Dallas traded back and still got their guy. That’s a win. Speed rusher who fits their scheme. The last time the Cowboys traded back with the Eagles and selected an EDGE they got Micah Parsons.

**24. Browns - KC Concepcion (WR, Texas A&M)**

**Grade: A-**

Explosive with the ball, but not flawless. Cleveland is clearly building an offense before locking in a QB long term, but this is a nice pick in trying to give Sanders some weapons.

**25. Bears - Dillon Thieneman (S, Oregon)**

**Grade: A-**

The Bears got great value here. Thieneman is versatile, instinctive, and fills a real need. Quietly one of the better picks. Bears fans should be happy with this pick.

**26. Texans - Keylan Rutledge (OG, Georgia Tech)**

**Grade: B+**

This guy is a nasty run blocker, but the fit is a little unclear. Still, his attitude fits Houston.

**27. Dolphins - Chris Johnson (CB, San Diego State)**

**Grade: A-**

This is a bit of a reach, but the traits are there. Miami needed a CB1 and is betting he becomes that. His speed is impressive, running a 4.40 at the combine.

**28. Patriots - Caleb Lomu (OT, Utah)**

**Grade: B**

Clean pass protector, still developing physically. Feels like a long-term play more than immediate help. Lomu has gone viral for his dance during the draft, but many are speculating that he might be dealt to the Eagles in return for veteran receiver AJ Brown.

**29. Chiefs - Peter Woods (DT, Clemson)**

**Grade: B+**

With an aging line, KC is thinking ahead on the defensive line. Woods is not consistent yet, but the upside is obvious.

**30. Jets - Omar Cooper Jr. (WR, Indiana)**

**Grade: A**

This is a steal for New York. Dynamic, versatile, and exactly what their offense needed. One of the best value picks in the round. Again, with Geno Smith, there is only so much the Jets can do but this is a good pick.

**31. Titans - Keldric Faulk (EDGE, Auburn)**

**Grade: A-**

Young, powerful, flexible, and electric athlete. Tennessee keeps building its defense with high-upside pieces.

**32. Seahawks - Jadarian Price (RB, Notre Dame)**

**Grade: B+**

The second RB in Round 1 says a lot about this class. Jeremiah Love’s backup, Price is explosive, but it’s still a luxury pick. I also think that the impact of being behind Love is being underrated. Whatever the case, the reigning Super Bowl victor Seahawks replace their MVP in Kenneth Walker.

The Timberwolves are on the brink of advancing, but injuries to Anthony Edwards and Donte DiVincenzo have cast a shadow over their series lead.

This series, he is shooting 37% from the field and 27% from three. The two stars combined are shooting 38% on 45 shots per game, only making 16.8 of them. The only other offensive threat that the Nuggets have is Aaron Gordon. However, he has been hurt in this series, missing game three, and has been ruled out for game 5. The injuries reflect in the games he's played, too. He is averaging 11 points on 40% from the field and 21% from three.

In the first game of the series, the Timberwolves lost. In that game, the Timberwolves bench recorded 22 points, five rebounds, and five assists. In their 3 wins following that game, the bench averaged 47.3 points, 15 rebounds, and 12.3 assists. The Timberwolves being able to maintain a constant rotation of guys who can get on the court and be a problem for Denver allows Minnesota to lose its best offensive player and still be able to score at a proficient rate. Losing Anthony Edwards and Donte DiVincenzo will certainly make it harder. Still, as long as the bench keeps doing what they’ve been doing, the Wolves will be able to go 1-2 in the next 3 at the very worst, closing out the series and advancing to the next round.

The key to Minnesota closing out this series has nothing to do with star power and hasn’t all series long. All the Wolves need to do is continue to grind on defense, giving nothing up easily, and for the bench to continue to step up the way that they have.
